Prenatal & Pediatric Chiropractic in Edmonton

Gentle, family-friendly care for pregnancy and growing kids.

Pregnancy and childhood both put unique demands on the body, and both respond well to gentle, carefully adapted chiropractic care. Dr. Ahmed Fayad focuses on family care at our North Edmonton clinic, using low-force, comfortable techniques suited to expecting moms and children.

Nothing here is forceful or one-size-fits-all. Every visit starts with an assessment, and treatment is adapted to pregnancy or a child’s size and stage, with your comfort and safety first.

Chiropractic care during pregnancy

As your body changes through pregnancy, your centre of gravity shifts and the lower back and pelvis take on extra load, which is why so many expecting moms feel it there. Gentle, pregnancy-adapted chiropractic care helps keep the pelvis and spine moving comfortably and can ease that everyday ache without medication.

Techniques are modified for every trimester, with pregnancy pillows and positioning so you stay comfortable throughout. We coordinate with your prenatal care, not replace it.

Pediatric chiropractic: gentle care for children

Pediatric chiropractic uses very light, gentle pressure, nothing like an adult adjustment. Parents often bring children in for posture, sports and growing-body aches, or general wellness checks. We keep it low-force, age-appropriate, and comfortable, and we’re always honest about when something is outside our scope and needs your family doctor.

What a prenatal visit looks like

Your first visit starts with a conversation about your pregnancy, how far along you are and where you feel it. Dr. Fayad then does a gentle assessment before any treatment. Supportive positioning means you are never lying flat on your belly, and low force options such as the Activator instrument are used when a lighter touch suits you better.

You will also leave with simple stretches and posture tips for home. For a deeper look, read our guide to chiropractic care during pregnancy.

A chiropractor for kids: what to expect

For children, the visit starts with you. We ask about your child’s health, activities and anything you have noticed, then do a gentle, age appropriate assessment before any treatment. If something points to a concern outside chiropractic, we will tell you and suggest you see your family doctor.

Check with your doctor or midwife first if your pregnancy is high risk

If you have a high risk pregnancy or any complications, talk to your doctor or midwife before starting chiropractic care, and tell us about them at your first visit. Our care works alongside your prenatal care, not instead of it.

Our Registered Massage Therapists also offer prenatal massage to ease tight glutes and the lower back as your pregnancy progresses.
